Change is Coming: Hey, CapCon subscribers! It’s Dan Clark, one of the Times Union’s reporters covering government and politics in New York.

Change is coming to your inbox, and we’re really excited about it. 

Starting on Monday, we’re launching a new, beefed-up version of Capitol Confidential that will post here and land in your inbox every weekday afternoon. We’re planning to get it to you in the last hour of the workday so you can read it before you wind down for the evening.

Our enhanced newsletter will feature:

• The news of the day you need to know, along with any important context or analysis that’s sometimes missing in the news cycle.

• A preview of anything big happening at the Capitol the next day.

• Special, daily sections that will keep you coming back every week.

• Updates on important legislation and bills introduced in the Legislature.

And our other newsletter — A.M. Roundup — will move back to the morning. It will feature more reporting from the Times Union’s Capitol Bureau, so you’ll be caught up there as well.
