If you pay attention to politics in New York, you probably weren’t surprised to hear last night that Lt. Gov. Antonio Delgado won’t run for reelection alongside Gov. Kathy Hochul next year.
We don’t know who she’ll pick to replace him but apparently she had already started considering a replacement running mate.
Delgado hinted in his statement Monday evening that he could run for governor himself next year.
“All options are on the table, and I will be exploring them,” Delgado said.
And he’s already started that exploration: Delgado filed a new committee with the state Board of Elections Tuesday.
