💵 New York projects higher revenue, lower deficits in mid-year update
We’re halfway through the fiscal year in New York. That means it’s time for the mid-year update from the state Division of Budget.
That was released late Tuesday ahead of the upcoming Quick Start Meeting. That’s when the agency and representatives from the Legislature get together and talk about what they’re expecting in terms of revenue to factor into next year’s state budget.
I know this is boring. But it is also very important. Let me tell you about the first reason why.
