⏱️ The state budget is due in a week. Here’s where things stand
💵 Okay, so it’s not actually due in a week, but legislative leaders and Gov. Kathy HOCHUL have set next Thursday as their goal for a deal.
Next Friday is Good Friday, which is followed by Easter weekend.
Senate Majority Leader Andrea STEWART-COUSINS and Assembly Speaker Carl HEASTIE met with Hochul this morning to continue talks on the budget. More on what happened there in a second.
